Senior Application Engineer (Abrasive Systems)

Location: On-site at hirify.global Italy in Pioltello, with frequent presence at the Customer Technical Centre in Carpiano; travel may include up to 50%, mainly domestic and occasionally international.

Gross annual remuneration: €50,000–€55,000, with a possible variable remuneration component of up to 5.67% of gross annual remuneration.

What you will do

• Drive growth through customer collaboration, new application development, and commercialization of new products for the Abrasive Systems Division.
• Lead Customer Inspired Innovation programs, market specialization initiatives, and high-impact innovation and NPI programs.
• Develop and replicate product and market applications, including efficient replication through e-tools.
• Build value propositions, coordinate field trials with lead customers, and evaluate local competition and marketing practices.
• Use market and customer process expertise to influence industry standards, practices, and regulations.
• Deliver customer- and market-focused training and support the expansion of existing and new technologies, products, and businesses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution, completed and verified before starting.
• Ability and willingness to document technical work effectively and present results.
• Hands-on construction and fabrication experience, particularly using industrial abrasives.
• Proven experience leading strategic programs, including serving as an AE Lead for high-impact NPI initiatives and supporting innovation and the expansion of technologies, products, and businesses.
• Advanced skills in a relevant market and experience in roles such as Application Engineer, Technical Service, or R&D.
• Native Italian and advanced English language skills.
• Full-time availability and willingness to work on-site in Pioltello, attend the Customer Technical Centre in Carpiano, and travel up to 50%.
