Company

hirify.global develops in-orbit servicing and space debris removal missions to support sustainable space operations.

What you will do

  • Own the AIV/AIT and industrialisation strategy across programmes, from low-TRL breadboards and demonstrators through prototype and flight production.
  • Build and lead the Industrialisation & Methods, AIT Production, and AIT Industrial Support teams.
  • Define spacecraft assembly, integration, verification, and test strategies in partnership with Systems Architecture and Engineering.
  • Manage environmental test campaigns, including thermal vacuum, vibration, acoustic, shock, and EMC/EMI testing.
  • Develop AIV/AIT infrastructure, facilities, cleanrooms, test benches, GSE, tooling, and make-or-buy strategies.
  • Own capacity planning, CAPEX/OPEX, governance, industrial partnerships, and continuous improvement across AIV/AIT operations.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • 10+ years of end-to-end AIV/AIT experience in the space industry, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Experience ramping up a space production line from EM/QM prototypes to series FM flight production.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental test methods and standards, including ECSS-E-ST-10-03 or MIL-STD-1540 equivalents.
  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, VSM, DFMA, PFMEA, QRQC, and 8D, with experience in industrialisation and process standardisation.
  • Knowledge of ECSS, EN9100, and ISO 9001, plus experience managing CAPEX/OPEX budgets and presenting to senior leadership.

Nice to have

  • Experience with active debris removal, on-orbit servicing, rendezvous and proximity operations, or other complex in-space missions.
  • Electrical safety, ESD, and chemical/fluid safety certifications or awareness.
  • Familiarity with NewSpace approaches, small satellite platforms, agile programme management, or scale-up environments.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work on current and future missions focused on reusable, affordable, and sustainable space operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, systems architecture, programme management, quality, and supply chain functions.
  • Use rapid build-test-fix cycles and hardware evidence to reduce technical risk early.
  • Promote automation, workplace ergonomics, process standardisation, and a strong safety culture.
