VP, Hydrometallurgy (Chemical Engineering)

Location: Paris, France; 100% on-site. Candidates based in or open to relocating to Paris are preferred; candidates located in the United States may also be considered. Part-time arrangements may be considered.

What you will do

• Develop novel process flowsheets and contribute to process design and engineering decisions.
• Advise engineering teams on hydrometallurgical and metallurgical process development.
• Translate research-stage concepts into industrially robust process designs.
• Challenge and stress-test process choices against real plant and operational constraints.
• Represent hirify.global as a technical expert in strategic business and partnership meetings and at industry conferences.
• Partner with process development, strategy, and business teams to support technology development, go-to-market strategy, industrial piloting, and early commercial deployment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of process engineering experience in an industrial setting; experience in a large industrial group is strongly preferred.
• At least 10 years of exposure to hydrometallurgical processes, including ore refining or processing and extracting metal oxides from mined rock.
• Good fluency in English and the ability to work effectively in a close-knit technical team.
• Good project management and organizational skills.

• Initial video call with the Director of People, followed by an initial fit call with the Head of Process Development.
