Lead Migrations Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote in the Netherlands or Germany; travel up to 20% may be required.

What you will do

• Lead architecture and technical direction across migration projects and customer-focused Forward Deployed Engineer teams.
• Design, build, and deploy software systems, migration tooling, automation, scalable data pipelines, and modern data architectures on Snowflake.
• Contribute to Snowflake product development through prototypes, feature development, and problem resolution.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to client teams on data management, analytics, AI/ML, and reporting or BI integration.
• Optimize data models, queries, and data-processing workflows for performance, efficiency, data quality, integrity, and cost-effectiveness.
• Evaluate modern data integration tools, troubleshoot technical and operational issues, and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with customers on complex, multi-faceted projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C++.
• Experience developing AI/ML applications.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, data lake concepts, and cloud data platforms.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a client-facing environment.
