Design Engineer Manager, Element Coach - LEGO® DESiGN

Location: Billund, Denmark. Hybrid work model with the option to work from home up to two days per week, subject to the role and team.

What you will do

• Coach product-development teams and provide technical guidance for informed design and engineering decisions.
• Strengthen governance across product-development activities and support consistent application of building-system requirements and standards.
• Guide complex initiatives from early ideation through implementation, including standards, guidelines, governance frameworks, and ways of working.
• Partner with Design, Engineering, and Operations to improve alignment and Design for Manufacturing.
• Use quantitative analysis, mathematics, data analytics, and systems thinking to evaluate development decisions, governance outcomes, and product integrity.
• Support quality, compliance, product integrity, sustainability, and future development of the hirify.global building system across multiple projects.

Requirements

• Solid experience in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related discipline.
• Experience in product development, such as coaching, product design, mechanical engineering, or model design.
• Experience guiding complex product-development initiatives from early ideation through implementation.
• Experience establishing standards, guidelines, governance frameworks, and ways of working.
• Experience partnering with and coaching cross-functional teams across Design and Engineering.
• Experience applying quantitative analysis, mathematics, data analytics, and systems thinking to product-development decisions, governance outcomes, and product integrity.

Nice to have

• Experience improving governance processes, development frameworks, or operating models to increase efficiency and consistency.
• Experience delivering process improvements that balance business needs, product integrity, and end-user experience.
• Experience coaching cross-functional product-development teams to apply governance, quality, and development standards consistently across multiple initiatives.
