Electrical Engineering Manager (Embedded Control Systems)

Location: Hybrid, Anoka, Minnesota, United States; regular travel required, up to 15%

Salary: $105,000–$195,000 annual base pay, with potential eligibility for additional compensation such as annual incentives

What you will do

• Lead electrical engineers and external engineering partners designing control systems for cooling solutions serving data center markets.
• Supervise design and build phases, balancing internal and external resources to deliver engineering activities on schedule and within budget.
• Develop, motivate, and support a high-performing engineering team while promoting technical depth, best practices, and continuous process improvement.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, control system designs, development schedules, test specifications, and validation protocols.
• Oversee prototyping, testing, regulatory and third-party testing, commissioning, and deployment activities.
• Maintain customer engagement through meetings, presentations, and technical discussions; partner with process development and tooling teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Ideally 7+ years of relevant engineering experience focused on developing and deploying embedded control systems.
• Experience specifying, developing, maintaining, and managing the deployment of embedded control systems, including controller design, component selection, programming, display system integration, testing, and commissioning.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with a proven record of leading and developing teams, ideally including coordination with remotely located partners.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to coordinate team activities, negotiate requirements, and remain flexible when scope and direction change.
• Ability to travel regularly as required, up to 15%.
