Marketing & Communications Intern - Social Media

Location: Hybrid workplace with an in-office position in Hartford, Connecticut, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. now and in the future.

Salary: $24.00–$26.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Write and edit social media copy for enterprise initiatives across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with design team members on assets accompanying social content.
• Engage with target audiences and use social media monitoring tools to track trends and conversations about hirify.global.
• Support social listening, reporting, topic research, employee interviews, and development of features and profiles.
• Adapt content for the intranet, mass email, digital signage, and other internal and external channels.
• Collaborate on communications plans, intern projects, and the promotion, execution, and coverage of the hirify.global Championship.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or having obtained a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong writing and editorial skills.
• Experience writing and editing social media copy.
• Experience using Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and Instagram for a business.
• Experience editing short-form video for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
• Creative thinking and awareness of the latest digital trends.
• Intermediate PowerPoint and Excel skills, plus basic project management and analytical skills.
• U.S. work authorization for any employer now and in the future; H-1B, TN, and Forms I-983/STEM OPT sponsorship or support are not available.

Nice to have

• Design experience, including experience with tools such as Photoshop.
• Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
