Company

hirify.global develops fluoride-salt-cooled, high-temperature reactor technology to support the transition to clean energy.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute enterprise tax strategy while advising senior leadership on investments, financings, structures, transactions, new ventures, expansion, and restructurings.
  • Lead the identification, documentation, calculation, and monetization of federal and state clean energy, advanced nuclear, R&D, manufacturing, and technology-related tax incentives.
  • Own U.S. federal, state, and local income tax compliance, partnership reporting, tax provisions, financial disclosures, forecasting, audits, and tax-risk management.
  • Oversee sales and use, property, gross receipts, franchise, excise, and other operational taxes across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Establish scalable tax policies, procedures, internal controls, technology solutions, performance measures, and audit-ready processes supporting SOX and IPO readiness.
  • Build the tax operating model, develop an internal team, and manage external advisors, auditors, service providers, and governmental agencies.

Requirements

  • Progressive tax experience in public accounting and/or in-house tax leadership, including experience leading tax functions or significant tax engagements.
  • Hands-on experience identifying, securing, and realizing federal and state tax incentives, including clean energy investment or production credits and R&D tax credits, with working knowledge of Sections 41 and 174.
  • Expert knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax regimes, including partnership, state and local, and tax-accounting matters.
  • Experience overseeing income, partnership, sales and use, property, and other operational tax compliance, tax provisions, financial disclosures, forecasting, audits, and tax-risk management.
  • Experience leading cross-functional tax projects involving technical, operational, financial, and legal teams.
  • Ability to combine strategic planning and executive-level advising with detailed hands-on execution, prioritize competing obligations, manage deadlines, evaluate complex positions, and communicate tax risks clearly.
  • Ability to obtain and reconcile information with stakeholders, resolve tax issues collaboratively, and translate business needs into a scalable tax operating model.
  • Authorization to access Department of Energy Part 810-controlled information is required; eligibility may depend on nationality and applicable export-control licensing.
  • Occasional weekend, flexible, non-standard, and extended hours may be required; travel may be required up to 5%.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, nuclear, or advanced-technology companies.
  • Experience with investment, refundable, or transferable tax credit programs.
  • Experience with partnership and owner reporting, transfer pricing, international tax, or tax-efficient transaction structuring.
