Health, Safety and Environmental Specialist (HSE)

Location: Columbus, Mississippi, with regular travel to the Florence, Alabama location and up to 25% travel to other hirify.global facilities and customer sites. Applicants must be living in and authorized to work in the United States. International relocation is not available.

What you will do

• Deliver local HSE services and functional support for operations in Columbus and Florence.
• Coordinate global, area, and location-specific HSE processes, procedures, communications, training, and improvement plans.
• Identify HSE risks, support hazard and risk assessments, and implement solutions with local managers and stakeholders.
• Lead incident investigations, root-cause analyses, corrective actions, audits, inspections, and compliance evaluations.
• Manage environmental aspect and impact assessments, KPI reporting, regulatory records, and the CSM environmental reporting database.
• Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification management, audit coordination, reporting, and participation in North American HSE workgroups.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of HSE experience in a similar environment.
• Minimum high school graduation; a secondary degree in safety, environmental studies, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience driving continuous improvement activities.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management system standards and certifications; experience with other standards is beneficial.
• Proficiency with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
• Result-driven approach and ability to structure independent work.
• Good communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Ability to travel up to 25% to other hirify.global facilities and customer sites.
