Vice President, Evergreen Valuations (Private Markets)

Location: Boston, United States; hybrid work arrangement with 18 remote workdays per quarter subject to manager approval.

Base salary: $215,000–$225,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus and potential long-term reward programs.

What you will do

• Lead the strategy, roadmap, delivery, and ongoing performance of Evergreen valuation technology, data, analytics, and control capabilities.
• Build a resilient ecosystem supporting daily, monthly, and quarterly valuation activities from source-data ingestion and calculation through review, approval, reporting, and audit support.
• Establish governed gold-copy datasets with ownership, lineage, quality standards, and change governance across portfolio, fund, market, accounting, and valuation information.
• Automate ingestion, validation, reconciliation, calculation, workflow, approval, and evidence retention, including AI-enabled controls and exception monitoring with validation and human review.
• Develop valuation-movement attribution, back-testing, dashboards, management reporting, and metrics covering data quality, exceptions, controls, service levels, adoption, and automation benefits.
• Act as product owner and coordinate Fund Accounting, Investment Management, Product Development, IT, Information, Risk Management, auditors, vendors, data providers, implementation partners, and external valuation specialists.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, information systems, computer science, data analytics, engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in private markets, investment management, valuation, fund accounting, financial technology, data management, or technology-enabled transformation.
• Substantial private-asset valuation experience and strong knowledge of fair value concepts, valuation methodologies, fund structures, and period-end NAV processes.
• Demonstrated success designing or implementing enterprise-grade platforms, governed data environments, automated workflows, and financial control frameworks.
• Experience with data architecture, data quality, lineage, reconciliations, analytics, dashboards, and system integrations.
• Experience applying AI or machine-learning capabilities in a controlled business environment, including use-case governance, testing, monitoring, and exception management.
• Ability to translate valuation and control requirements into technology and data strategies, lead cross-functional programs, influence senior stakeholders, manage vendors, and deliver sustainable change.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree, CPA, CFA, or relevant technology or data certification.
• Familiarity with cloud, workflow, and business-intelligence platforms.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS and regulated or registered investment-company environments.
