Senior Software Engineer-Machine Learning (AI)

Location: Grapevine, Texas, United States; primary location at 1701 W State Highway 114. Full-time, onsite position.

Salary: $90,000–$180,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Lead delivery of scoped software features and machine learning models in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Develop, test, maintain, and monitor software across the full lifecycle, including CI/CD processes.
• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable systems and integrate AI/ML components and generative AI tools.
• Support computer vision products such as Exit Vision and IRAS across edge and cloud services, including RFID integration and large-scale deployments.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements, conduct code reviews, resolve defects, and monitor application performance.
• Mentor peers and contribute to knowledge sharing and engineering excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area and 3 years of experience in software engineering or a related area; alternatively, 5 years of experience in software engineering or a related area.
• Extensive software development experience with proficiency in JavaScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, and C++.
• Strong expertise in object-oriented programming, code review, debugging, and documentation-based coding practices.
• Experience delivering scoped features and models through collaborative, iterative development and continuous integration.
• Experience integrating AI/ML components and using generative AI tools to improve development efficiency.
• Understanding of platform design, product strategy, and technical leadership for scalable, maintainable software solutions.
• Commitment to engineering excellence, proactive problem-solving, and effective cross-team collaboration.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area and 1 year of experience in software engineering or a related area.
• Experience creating inclusive digital experiences and implementing WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
