Indexed Annuity Product Investment Management Lead

Location: Hybrid, in office at least 3 days per week. Primary location is Hudson Yards, New York; candidates may also commute to offices in Holmdel, NJ, Bethlehem, PA, Pittsfield, MA, Stamford, CT, or Boston, MA. The role may require 10% travel. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Base salary: $132,420–$217,545, with possible annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Own the index and crediting strategy agenda across the Fixed Indexed Annuity and Registered Index-Linked Annuity portfolios, including index menus, term lengths, crediting methods, additions, replacements, and retirements.
• Lead research and development of new indices and investment strategies with index providers, investment banks, and asset management partners.
• Evaluate index construction, historical and expected behavior, volatility controls, option costs, hedgeability, illustration eligibility, and suitability for advisor and client use cases.
• Partner with Annuity Pricing, Hedging, and ALM on option budgets, hedge feasibility, custom versus benchmark index economics, and monthly new business and renewal rate-setting.
• Monitor and explain strategy performance, provide competitive intelligence, and support marketing, wholesaler training, due diligence, and advisor education.
• Manage index licensing and coordinate legal, compliance, sourcing, operational, regulatory, disclosure, filing, and index closure requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in investments, derivatives, hedging, annuity pricing, or index-linked product management.
• Working knowledge of index construction, options and option pricing, hedge budgets, and crediting mechanics including caps, participation rates, spreads, buffers, floors, and triggers.
• Strong executive and technical communication skills, including the ability to explain complex investment concepts accurately to internal partners, advisors, and clients.
• Comfort and credibility in market-facing settings, including wholesaler enablement, firm due diligence, and advisor education.
• Strong analytical capability, financial acumen, sound business judgment, and rigorous attention to data, performance figures, and competitive comparisons.
• Excellent influencing, organizational, and facilitation skills, with the ability to gain consensus and build strategic internal and external relationships.
• Ability to manage several dissimilar projects concurrently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• CFA, FRM, or actuarial credentials.
• Direct Fixed Indexed Annuity and/or Registered Index-Linked Annuity experience.
• Familiarity with index provider relationships, licensing agreements, and disclosure and filing obligations for annuity index use.
• Experience using AI tools to enhance and accelerate results.
