GTM AI Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, California, United States, working from the Mission office.

Base salary: $160,000–$240,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Build software, agents, and applications for account research, prospect discovery, outreach personalization, inbound qualification, and pipeline reporting.
• Connect CRM systems, communication tools, meeting transcripts, and external data sources to create accurate and accessible account and contact data.
• Identify manual bottlenecks and develop reusable software that reduces repetitive work.
• Develop evaluations, review workflows, and feedback loops to improve LLM research accuracy, generated content, and agent behavior.
• Maintain production quality through code review, automated testing, monitoring, documentation, reliable deployments, debugging, and performance improvements.
• Measure effects on qualified pipeline, conversion, and time saved to guide experiments and engineering priorities.

Requirements

• Prior professional experience as a software engineer or machine learning engineer building and maintaining production systems on an engineering team.
• Strong programming skills in Python or TypeScript, with experience using APIs, databases, and integrations.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs, including tool use, agent workflows, and evaluations.
• Experience working with SQL and messy data, including reconciling information across multiple sources.
• Strong engineering judgment, with the ability to ship quickly while keeping systems understandable, testable, and maintainable.
• Ownership and product sense, including the ability to turn ambiguous business problems into useful tools, work directly with users, and improve solutions based on evidence.

Nice to have

• Experience building internal tools, data pipelines, or automation for sales, marketing, or growth teams.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, enrichment providers, and sales engagement tools.
• Experience designing experiments and measuring how software changes affect business outcomes.
