LATAM Senior QA Automation Engineer

Location: Remote; team members may live in El Salvador, Mexico, or Colombia.

What you will do

• Perform automated, API, and accessibility testing for complex web and mobile applications.
• Locate and document edge cases, assess risks, and propose improvements to acceptance criteria.
• Plan and prioritize testing efforts, track QA progress, and help deliver stories by the end of each sprint.
• Present testing plans, metrics, technical insights, and business value to clients and sprint review stakeholders.
• Mentor peers and junior team members through collaboration, technical guidance, and code reviews.
• Participate in recruiting interviews and assess candidates for successful hiring or contracting.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of QA fundamentals and practices.
• Deep expertise developing and maintaining end-to-end test frameworks with Playwright, Cypress, and/or Selenium using TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or Python for web applications.
• Experience with Appium using Java or Python for iOS and Android mobile testing.
• Strong proficiency integrating automated tests into CI/CD with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps, including parallel execution, test reporting, and environment management.
• Experience building a test automation framework from scratch.
• 5–8+ years of professional experience in relevant technologies and projects, including leading and executing automated testing for web and mobile applications throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Experience presenting to client stakeholders and communicating technical and business value.
• Experience understanding and articulating the business outcomes affected by development projects.
• Experience coaching and mentoring through ad-hoc collaboration and structured code reviews.
• Intensive programs, a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
