Это хорошо очерченная системная инженерная роль в компании, создающей передовую ядерную технологию, но переработки в ключевые периоды и ограничения экспортного контроля могут повлиять на условия работы или возможность трудоустройства.
System Engineer III (Nuclear Energy): Developing and integrating advanced fluoride-salt-cooled, high-temperature reactor systems with an accent on technical requirements, system architectures, interfaces, and verification strategies. Focus on coordinating multidisciplinary reviews, resolving cross-functional integration issues, assessing technical change impacts, and managing engineering risks across complex regulated programs.
Location: Alameda, CA; Albuquerque, NM; or remote in the U.S. Some travel may be required, up to 10%.
Company
hirify.global develops and commercializes fluoride-salt-cooled, high-temperature nuclear reactors designed for safe, affordable, and flexible clean-energy generation.
What you will do
Develop, allocate, maintain, and trace technical requirements across product and plant architecture levels.
Translate program objectives, stakeholder needs, design inputs, and regulatory considerations into clear, complete, consistent, and verifiable requirements.
Perform functional analysis and decomposition and develop functional, logical, and physical system architectures.
Define and manage interfaces between systems, organizations, suppliers, facilities, and external partners.
Develop verification strategies, methods, plans, acceptance criteria, and evidence for demonstrating requirement satisfaction.
Coordinate multidisciplinary reviews, resolve cross-functional technical issues, assess change impacts, manage technical risks and dependencies, mentor less-experienced engineers, and improve systems-engineering processes and tools.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, mechanical engineering, nuclear engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related technical field.
Relevant professional experience applying systems-engineering methods to complex engineering programs or products.
Experience developing, allocating, maintaining, and tracing technical requirements.
Experience with functional analysis and decomposition, system architecture development, interface definition and management, system integration, requirements verification and validation, or technical change-impact assessment.
Experience coordinating technical reviews or leading focused cross-functional engineering activities.
Strong technical writing, communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of systems-engineering lifecycle processes, technical management, requirements development and verification, architecture development, interface control, system integration, configuration management, engineering change control, and technical risk, assumption, issue, opportunity, and dependency management.
Ability to evaluate complex systems holistically, collaborate across disciplines and technical authorities, balance technical rigor with cost, schedule, risk, and execution needs, manage multiple priorities, and transfer technical knowledge.
Ability to work in office, laboratory, manufacturing, test-facility, industrial, or controlled environments; follow safety procedures; report hazards; and use required personal protective equipment.
Nice to have
Experience in the nuclear, power-generation, aerospace, defense, energy, or another highly regulated industry.
Experience with requirements-management tools such as Jama Connect.
Experience with model-based systems-engineering methods and tools.
Familiarity with nuclear quality, licensing, safety, or regulatory practices.
Familiarity with systems-engineering standards and guidance such as ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 or the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook.
Culture & Benefits
Full-time employees have access to medical, dental, and vision benefits for themselves and dependents.
Paid vacation, 401(k), pre-tax health insurance, dependent-care, and commuter benefits through FSA programs.
Work includes demanding, fast-paced engineering environments and periodic work in prototyping, laboratory, test, manufacturing, industrial, or controlled areas.
Occasional schedule flexibility or extended hours may be required for critical milestones, technical reviews, testing, or integration activities.
Equal-opportunity workplace with a commitment to a diverse workforce.
