Lead Product Manager (Intellectual Property)

Location: Hybrid, two days per week in a hirify.global office in Alexandria, Virginia; Kansas City, Missouri; Ann Arbor, Michigan; or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Offices are preferably located in EST or CST. Occasional travel may be required.

Base salary: $150,000–$185,000 USD per year, plus eligibility for bonus earnings.

What you will do

• Own product strategy, roadmap decisions, business outcomes, success metrics, adoption, and retention for a major multi-year product line or functional area.
• Lead the end-to-end development and delivery of high-impact products and cross-functional initiatives that improve scalability, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Identify unmet customer needs, emerging markets, and strategic growth opportunities while advocating for customer feedback in product decisions.
• Make independent product roadmap decisions that balance innovation with strategic priorities.
• Create product management frameworks and processes that improve team performance and product development effectiveness.
• Mentor team members and leaders across the organization, sharing product insights and best practices in a global, matrixed environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in a product-related role, ideally as a technical product manager or in a similar position.
• Prior experience working with AI products or platforms.
• 5+ years of experience working closely with clients to develop product solutions and relationships.
• Prior experience launching new products.
• 5+ years of experience partnering with sales to support go-to-market activities.

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge in intellectual property.
• Experience in IP legal work, IP examination, or as a paralegal.
• Experience working in a technology startup or similar environment with product launches.
• Experience working with executive-level stakeholders.
