Master Trainer (Tactical Radios)

Location: Hybrid remote in Spring Lake, NC, with up to 30% travel.

Salary: $110,000–$130,000 per year.

What you will do

• Train hirify.global integrators on required SOF Tactical Communications platforms.
• Train integrators so they can effectively train end users on SOF and Joint Staff programs of record and, when requested, unit-sponsored commercial technologies.
• Develop and implement training programs, including manuals, presentations, and Plans of Instruction.
• Stay current on emerging technologies through vendor-sponsored training and vendor documentation.
• Identify unit-specific training needs with regional site leads and tailor training solutions.
• Evaluate training effectiveness, maintain individual competency records, and recommend continuous improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of SOCOM experience.
• Military Instructor Training Course, a similar instructor qualification, or demonstrated instructor experience.
• Strong background in DoD tactical and strategic communications and network architectures.
• Subject matter expertise in configuring, training, and supporting AN/PRC-163 and AN/PRC-167 radios and the L3Harris Communications Planning Application.
• Proven expertise or in-depth knowledge of the AN/PRC-161 Handheld Link 16 BATS-D radio and proficiency with TRAX software.
• Proven expertise or in-depth knowledge of AN/PRC-137, TRQ-43, and AN/PRC-160 radio systems, plus a strong understanding of high-frequency communication and antenna theory.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor training.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree with experience and/or 10–15 years of Special Operations experience.
• Knowledge of the NettWarrior ecosystem and ATAK/TAK tools.
• Experience administering Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, and Office Suite.
• Experience with Linux administration, PKI, Docker, and networking protocols.
• Familiarity with Android/iOS systems and wireless transport technologies.
• Knowledge of tactical networks and tactical communications systems.
• Flexibility in a dynamic environment and willingness to learn additional software, hardware, and communications platforms.
