Senior Salesforce Developer (AI)

Location: Remote, associated with Arlington, VA and U.S. federal government work

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and modernize Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce Flow, and declarative configuration.
• Build secure REST/SOAP API and MuleSoft integrations supporting data migration, synchronization, and validation.
• Configure Agentforce agents, Einstein AI capabilities, Prompt Builder templates, custom actions, and AI workflows using approved enterprise data and processes.
• Apply platform security, access controls, AI safeguards, testing, monitoring, human oversight, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Manage Copado and approved CI/CD deployments, code reviews, and technical delivery within a SAFe/Agile environment.
• Translate requirements into technical designs, user stories, and acceptance criteria; mentor developers and collaborate with product owners, architects, administrators, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Five or more years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and Salesforce Certified Administrator certifications.
• Strong proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce Flow, data modeling, and platform security.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise applications using APIs and MuleSoft.
• Practical experience configuring or extending Agentforce agents, developing prompts and custom actions, and testing AI workflows with Einstein AI and Prompt Builder.
• Experience with Copado, CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, debugging, and Agile delivery.
• Strong written and oral communication, technical leadership, and independent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• VA or other federal government experience, especially in financial management, accounting, budgeting, or related business processes.
• Experience with Salesforce Data 360, retrieval-augmented generation, and AI governance in regulated environments.
• Salesforce Platform Developer II, Agentforce Specialist, Data Cloud/Data 360, Copado, or Salesforce Architect credentials.
• Familiarity with SAFe, Git, Salesforce CLI, and approved AI-assisted development tools.
• Familiarity with federal security requirements including NIST 800-53, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
