Executive Consultant Risk Control, Construction Energy and Marine

Location: Irvine, California, United States. Requires consistent field presence with approximately 20%–50% of time onsite with customers, including possible long-distance, overnight, and multi-night travel.

Annual base salary: $109,300–$180,200, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Provide underwriting with account knowledge on hazards, controls, management, and inherent risk factors, helping select, retain, and grow a profitable book of business.
• Conduct complex, all-lines risk assessments for construction accounts, including severe products liability exposures, large multi-location companies, and major fleet exposures.
• Write technically detailed reports that assess risks and communicate recommendations clearly.
• Analyze losses, evaluate customer readiness, identify uncontrolled exposures, and recommend corrective actions and risk mitigation solutions.
• Build productive relationships with Underwriting, Claims, Risk Control Specialists, and Brokers to service customers as a unified team.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in specialty disciplines such as Fleet, Sprinkler Contractor, Inland Marine, Industrial Hygiene, and Human Factors & Ergonomics; maintain senior responsibilities while taking on higher-level projects affecting the Risk Control organization or hirify.global enterprise.

Requirements

• Seven years of experience in safety, risk control or management, or a related field such as occupational or environmental health and safety, science, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or relevant military experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must have or be able to attain appropriate certification to meet applicable state-specific requirements.
• Bachelor's or graduate degree in environmental health and safety, engineering, construction management, basic sciences, or a related technical field.
• Advanced knowledge of the insurance industry and strong business acumen.
• Technical aptitude, attention to detail, superior written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking, influencing, negotiation, and coaching skills.
• Ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport and work collaboratively.
• Recognized relevant certifications such as ASP, CSP, ARM, or CFPS.
