Security Engineer (Infrastructure Security)

Location: Hybrid in Spring, Texas, United States of America; on-site attendance is required for several days per pay period.

Salary: $93,400–$143,800 USD annually, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for candidates in the United States.

hirify.global is hiring for a security engineering role within its Data & Information Technology organization.

What you will do

• Design, provision, and maintain scalable, secure cloud and compute deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Ansible.
• Deploy and manage firewalls, configure switches, and maintain network security compliance.
• Embed security practices into CI/CD pipelines through vulnerability scanning, compliance checks, and threat modeling.
• Maintain fault-tolerant, high-availability infrastructure while balancing security requirements and operational performance.
• Perform incident triage, root cause analysis, and post-mortems.
• Improve monitoring, logging, and detection engineering capabilities.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in an operational position.
• Typically 5+ years of security engineering experience in on-premises datacenter deployments.
• Understanding of modern cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, virtualization, and centralized compute architectures.
• Strong knowledge of secure networking protocols, VPC design, firewalls, zero-trust architecture, and VPN/tunneling technologies.
• Experience with computers, servers, virtual machines, workstation topology, and management functions; this is not a cloud-only environment.
• Experience with on-premises datacenter deployments.
• Comfort working across multiple functions in a fast-paced, small-team environment with autonomy, accountability, and end-to-end ownership.
• Bachelor’s degree and industry certifications are required.
