Software Developer (Machine Learning)

Location: Hybrid near Lexington, MA, United States; candidates must live within 100 miles of the Lexington facility. An active Top Secret clearance and US citizenship are required.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and enhance software applications supporting cybersecurity and information operations.
• Build and maintain data engineering, machine learning, and algorithm-driven solutions for large-scale systems.
• Integrate Python-based machine learning capabilities, real-time systems, and data-driven technologies.
• Develop front-end and back-end functionality using TypeScript, JavaScript, databases, and GraphQL-related technologies.
• Adapt Elastic Stack technologies to existing infrastructure and maintain Docker-based applications.
• Develop and maintain applications using vulnerability and exploit databases, including NVD/CVEs, Exploit DB, and Metasploit.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance and US citizenship are required.
• Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of applicable experience, or master’s degree with at least 8 years of applicable experience.
• 10 years of experience in databases and big-data engineering, software and algorithm development, application programming, database and system design, DoD environments, software architecture, software design and development, software documentation, and machine learning and algorithm development.
• 10 years of experience with Elastic Stack implementation, JavaScript development, Python, Docker, and test-driven or unit testing.
• Experience developing and testing large-scale systems, with rapid prototyping capabilities.
• Strong Python skills for maintaining and extending data-science tools and systems.
• Strong TypeScript and JavaScript skills for front-end applications connected to back-end code and databases.
• Database experience with Postgres, GraphQL, Hasura, and PSQL.
• Experience with Elastic, Logstash, and Kibana, as well as maintaining Docker containers.
• Experience with vulnerability and exploit databases, machine learning applications in Python, real-time systems, DoD systems, and natural language processing including large language models.
• Ability to self-direct when needed.
