VCA Intern (IDS)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid with at least 3 days in the office required

What you will do

• Prepare and manage datasets using Python, SQL, Spark, Hive, and other data tools.
• Conduct business data analyses and communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain BI tools using Power BI, Tableau, and similar platforms.
• Perform exploratory and machine learning-based analytics on large datasets.
• Recommend improvements to data tools, techniques, and analytical processes.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, statisticians, business analysts, and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related STEM or quantitative field.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills with clear, concise, and professional communication.
• Experience with or knowledge of statistical software such as Python, SAS, R, or Stata.
• Experience extracting and aggregating data from large datasets using SQL or similar tools.
• Understanding of machine learning techniques and competence in Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial services, credit cards, or merchant analytics.
• Advanced experience with Power BI, Tableau, PowerPoint, or open-source visualization tools.
