Senior VPN Software Engineer (Linux/WireGuard/eBPF)

Location: Vilnius, Warsaw, or Kaunas, with office work encouraged and the possibility of up to two remote days per week. A work-from-anywhere policy allows working from almost anywhere in the world.

Gross salary: €4,750–€7,000 per month for the Lithuanian market; PLN 21,900–33,400 per month for the Polish market. Compensation varies according to skills and experience.

What you will do

• Design and scale proprietary VPN software, including SDN, Dausos, and WCB, and extend WireGuard and HAProxy.
• Debug and tune the Linux networking stack for high-scale traffic and maintain custom Debian images.
• Write eBPF programs for packet processing and architect ultra-low-latency, high-throughput systems.
• Lead R&D on custom protocol extensions and optimizations, carry out large-scale refactoring, and establish coding standards.
• Work with the SRE team to automate a global fleet through Ansible deployments and custom CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• Proven experience tracing complex production issues across code, operating-system, and service boundaries.
• Proven experience architecting solutions that operate reliably across thousands of servers.
• Programming skills in Go and/or C.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible and a solid understanding of scalable deployment architectures.
