Backend Engineer, Security

Location: Kaunas or Vilnius, Lithuania; hybrid work with 2 recommended office days per week. Remote work is available for up to 90 days per year in the EU, including up to 21 days globally; for non-EU citizens, up to 21 days worldwide.

Salary: €3,758–€5,083 gross per month.

What you will do

• Build new backend services and develop and maintain features that improve member security.
• Contribute to cross-functional, team-level, and domain-level initiatives.
• Transform large monoliths into smaller, component-based services to increase team autonomy.
• Prevent and mitigate malicious actors on the marketplace.
• Monitor code and ensure service reliability at scale.
• Deliver code affecting more than 80 million users.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in development or operations at scale.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn and master new technologies and concepts.
• Awareness of current AI solutions and the ability to select suitable solutions to improve work effectiveness.
• Commitment to clean, maintainable, accurate, and high-quality code.
• Strong collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English in diverse contexts.

• Experience in cybersecurity.
