Senior Backend Engineer, Quality Engineering

Location: Hybrid work in Kaunas or Vilnius, Lithuania; 2 days in the office are recommended but not enforced.

What you will do

• Build and own tools, frameworks, and services that improve quality assurance and quality tracking across hirify.global.
• Identify gaps in quality assurance and design effective solutions.
• Develop backend quality engineering solutions using Golang, Kotlin, Kafka, BigQuery, Looker, Grafana, and related technologies.
• Collaborate with Development Environments & AI, CI/CD, and Backend Services teams.
• Explore and adopt AI-assisted approaches to improve delivery efficiency and engineering quality.
• Drive adoption and successful use of delivered solutions across the organization.

Requirements

• Solid software engineering fundamentals and professional experience.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Passion for quality, testing, and engineering experience.
• Proactive approach to identifying improvement opportunities and proposing ideas.
• Experience using AI to improve work.

Nice to have

• Experience working in platform-oriented teams.
• Experience in quality assurance or test automation.
