Senior Business Analyst (Wealth-Tech)

What you will do

• Define system scope and objectives based on user needs, business systems, and industry requirements.
• Analyze user needs, document requirements, and translate them into system requirement specifications.
• Review customer-specific requests and convert business requirements into actionable documentation and solutions using existing or new functionality.
• Test and deliver requirements as live client features while working with engineers on data flows and integrations.
• Partner with strategic client teams to address complex issues and respond to client needs.
• Provide subject-matter expertise and thought leadership on products and client functionality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably with exposure to Business Administration and/or Computer Science.
• 6–10 years of experience in Business or Systems Analysis in wealth management, wealth-tech, or financial-services technology, ideally involving advisor- or investor-facing digital products.
• Working knowledge of trading flows, portfolio data, holdings, performance, and reporting as presented to advisors and investors.
• Experience writing API and integration requirements and working with engineers on data flows.
• Ability to map data throughout the lifecycle of an account or client journey, including prospecting, onboarding/KYC, servicing, and reporting.
• Strong communication skills for conveying complex technical specifications to clients and internal teams.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and prioritize collected requirements with stakeholders and project teams.
• Skill in eliciting, analyzing, specifying, and validating stakeholder business needs.
• Experience gathering customer requirements through interviews, workshops, questionnaires, workflow storyboards, journey mapping, process modeling using BPMN, use cases, user stories, scenarios, and acceptance criteria.

• Portfolio Accounting experience.
• Ability to collaborate with project sponsors to define project scope and vision.
• Experience representing the voice of the customer, including advisors and end investors.
• Ability to balance speed and quality when making tactical development decisions affecting functionality or usability in an agile, client-driven environment.
• Understanding of data structures and databases, SQL, API/JSON, and using data for integration.
• Stakeholder influence and consulting-style client management experience, including collaboration with globally distributed teams.
