Business Analyst – System Modernisation & Migration

hirify.global is hiring for a software modernisation project supporting a government agency in the financial sector.

What you will do

• Lead workshops with business users to analyse workflows, business rules, pain points, and future needs.
• Document as-is and to-be processes, requirements, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and user journeys.
• Assess the legacy system and define source-to-target data mappings, transformation rules, validation requirements, and reconciliation criteria.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and requirements traceability.
• Support migration testing, cutover preparation, SIT, UAT, defect investigation, user documentation, and training.
• Use AI-assisted tools for requirements analysis, documentation, prototyping, and UX/UI work while reviewing outputs for accuracy.

Requirements

• Hands-on Business Analyst experience in software implementation, system modernisation, or migration projects.
• Experience producing requirements documents, functional specifications, process maps, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong understanding of process analysis, complex business rules, data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and migration quality assurance.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum teams through development, testing, and release.
• Experience supporting SIT/UAT, defect clarification, requirements traceability, and stakeholder facilitation.
• Ability to work independently on the client side and collaborate with technical and vendor teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Singapore public-sector agencies or regulated financial services organisations.
• Experience replacing Java-based legacy enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, process-modelling tools, Figma, or similar prototyping tools.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools for requirements analysis, documentation, or prototyping.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data investigation and validation.
