Engineering Supervisor (Printed Circuit Board Manufacturing)

Location: Stafford Springs, CT, United States; on-site manufacturing role. Access to ITAR products and related technical data is restricted to US Citizens and US Permanent Residents.

What you will do

• Supervise process engineers supporting and developing production processes for PCB assemblies.
• Provide technical direction on manufacturing methodology, process capability, capacity, efficiency, cost reduction, technology advancement, and customer quality requirements.
• Analyze yield and statistical process control data, direct corrective actions, and perform documented 8D root cause investigations.
• Prepare and execute time-critical engineering project plans, including tooling, process development, and capital equipment installation and qualification.
• Establish systems to determine whether products can be manufactured as designed and support process design, installation, transfer, monitoring, and modification.
• Develop engineering staff, coordinate support with production and engineering management, and ensure compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards.

Requirements

• BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a lead engineering or supervisor-type role.
• Ability to interpret customer documentation, including blueprints, drawings, bills of material, and specifications.
• Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software.
• Experience using equipment setup software, including MoleMap for thermal profiling and Valor Process Preparation for artwork conversion and machine formats such as SMT programming and fixture design.
• Hands-on mechanical assembly, hardware installation, epoxy application, process improvement, and enhancement experience.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and machine shop equipment.
• Cross-functional communication skills and experience partnering across engineering, quality, and operations.
• Must comply with TTM export control policies and applicable ITAR, EAR, and OFAC requirements; access to ITAR products and related technical data is restricted to US Citizens and US Permanent Residents.

Nice to have

• Previous engineering experience in a PCBA environment.
• Working knowledge of industry and military standards.
• Previous experience leading a group of engineers.
