Accountant Lead - Close and Consolidation

Location: Irving, Texas — flexible hybrid schedule

What you will do

• Prepare and review monthly balance sheets and income statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Monitor monthly consolidations and balance intercompany accounts.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for multiple accounts.
• Support internal and external audits by coordinating information requests and ensuring timely documentation.
• Support SOX compliance, segregation of duties, financial reporting controls, and accounting policy adherence.
• Collaborate with IT on system issues and enhancements, and perform detailed accounting research and analysis.

Requirements

• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in financial services or a related field preferred.
• Excellent technical research, writing, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently, think critically, and resolve challenging issues.

Nice to have

• CPA or CPA candidate status.
• Public accounting experience with a national or large regional firm.
• MBA or master’s degree in accounting.
• Oracle General Ledger and OneStream Financial Reporting experience.
• Consolidation knowledge.
