Project Manager (Healthcare IT)

What you will do

• Manage customer-facing projects delivering multi-stranded, integrated healthcare solutions across initiation, execution, go-live, and closure.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, implementation plans, project plans, quality plans, communications plans, and resource plans.
• Manage project teams, resources, budgets, forecasting, time tracking, risks, issues, scope changes, and escalations.
• Coordinate communication among project team members and report project progress and project-specific information to stakeholders.
• Represent implementation team needs during pre-sales and ensure compliance with relevant procedures and policies.
• Lead handover to support, lessons learned, and project closure activities after go-live.

Requirements

• Project management experience delivering multi-stranded integrated Healthcare solutions in a customer-facing role.
• Experience managing the full project lifecycle, including initiation, execution, go-live, and closure.
• Direct healthcare knowledge or 3+ years of experience with an HIS or LIMS system is highly preferred.
• Experience managing resources, time tracking, budgets, and forecasting, as well as leading diverse or multi-disciplined teams.
• Experience communicating across all levels of an organization.
• Understanding of hospital procedures, standard working practices, structure, and politics.
• Previous experience as an end user of an integrated health system, ideally with clinical experience or experience using TrakCare or another Hospital Information System.
• Experience with integrated implementations and a broad understanding of IT technical implementation delivery.
• University degree or 10+ years of experience managing large, complex projects, preferably in healthcare IT.
• Technical knowledge of software and implementation processes; project management qualification such as Prince2, PMP, or PMI; senior-level management training; and Microsoft Project knowledge.
