Director, AP Fraud & Cyber Threats (Fintech)

Location: Singapore; at least 3 days in the office required

What you will do

• Lead the Asia Pacific response to significant and emerging fraud, scam, and cyber-enabled payment incidents.
• Assess regional impact, develop threat intelligence, engage affected clients and markets, and drive incident resolution.
• Translate fraud and cyber intelligence into preventive controls, product enhancements, solutions, and client guidance.
• Embed fraud and cyber-threat controls into products through design reviews, launch readiness, and remediation activities.
• Establish regional intelligence-sharing and operating models with Cybersecurity, Technology, and Market Risk.
• Represent hirify.global with clients, regulators, and industry stakeholders through risk expertise and thought leadership.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of relevant experience as a fraud or cyber-risk leader.
• Deep practical knowledge of end-to-end payment transaction processing, including authorization, authentication, clearing, and settlement.
• Relevant industry experience in technology, payments, or cybersecurity, with a deep understanding of payment flows and ecosystem vulnerabilities.
• Experience translating fraud and cyber intelligence into business risks, controls, and response actions.
• Practical experience with payment authentication, EMV chip and contactless transactions, tokenization, digital-payment ecosystems, fraud controls, payment processing, and cyber-enabled payment abuse.
• Ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives through influence across Product, Risk, Cybersecurity, and Technology.
• Strong communication skills for explaining complex risks to senior leaders, clients, regulators, industry partners, and other external stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving, judgment, ownership, adaptability, and resilience in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
• Experience working across markets and cultures in a complex multinational environment, adapting solutions to regional realities while aligning with global strategies.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as CAMS, CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or an equivalent payment-security qualification.
