What you will do

• Lead the APAC Merchant Risk Operations team for Payments.
• Own end-to-end operational performance, including SLAs, quality, loss metrics, and customer impact.
• Oversee the design and execution of merchant monitoring, investigation, and escalation workflows across APAC.
• Partner with global legal, risk, and compliance teams to implement new policies and control changes.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to evolve risk tooling using rules engines and AI/LLM-based workflows.
• Drive key performance metrics such as fraud and chargeback ratios to meet company OKRs.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in payments, fintech, or acquiring.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Deep expertise in credit and fraud risk (reserves and exposure management) or brand risk (AUP and compliance).
• Proven track record of managing senior ICs in multi-location teams.
• Ability to operate fast in ambiguity and drive outcomes in a high-growth environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

• Strong analytical and data skills using dashboards and data tools.
• Experience scaling risk operations in a global fintech or top-tier payments company.
• Hands-on experience designing risk tooling or automation, including AI/ML/LLMs.
• Mandarin language proficiency.
