Securities Transfer Specialist

What you will do

• Process security transfer instructions for equities, fixed income instruments, funds, structured products, derivatives, and physical precious metals covering Singapore and Hong Kong booking centres.
• Open custody accounts with custodian banks and maintain static data, counterparty SSIs, and security master information in the core banking system.
• Input client instructions and complete pre-trade validation checks before submitting requests to custodians.
• Coordinate with internal departments, sub-custodians, custodians, agents, and counterparties; monitor queries and provide responses or holding replies.
• Ensure instructions are in good order, clear SWIFT exception queues daily, and arrange timely payment of applicable stamp duty, taxes, and fees.
• Participate in user acceptance testing and work with relevant teams to fulfil regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience in banking or a related discipline.
• Good knowledge and understanding of securities products, including equities, fixed income instruments, funds, structured products, and derivatives.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with people at various levels.
• High integrity, commitment, initiative, independence, and drive to excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle tight deadlines.
• Effective teamwork and a service-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Nice to have

• Relevant experience in security transfers.
• Knowledge of SWIFT MT5xx messages.
