Corporate Actions Specialist (Banking)

What you will do

• Process mandatory and voluntary corporate action events across global markets and products for Singapore and Hong Kong booking centres.
• Coordinate with internal departments, sub-custodians, custodians, agents, and brokers to maintain daily processing standards.
• Review inward and outward SWIFT messages and process and reconcile positions and corporate action entitlements.
• Monitor entitlement confirmations and ensure accurate and timely posting of entries.
• Review and resolve daily reconciliation breaks before market deadlines to reduce operational risk.
• Participate in user acceptance testing and support regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience in banking or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of corporate actions and tax.
• Ability to communicate effectively with people at various levels and work under tight deadlines.
• High integrity, initiative, independence, commitment, and a service-oriented mindset.
• Experience with corporate actions and settlements SWIFT messages, including MT56x and MT54x, is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of US restricted securities and tax-related reporting or reclaim.
• Knowledge of bond restructuring and filing claims for defaulted instruments.
