Strategy and Operations Manager (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid, with 3–4 days per week in-office, in New York, Bogota, Buenos Aires, London, Mexico City, or São Paulo.

What you will do

• Own strategic and operational initiatives end to end, from problem definition and business cases through execution and results measurement.
• Identify opportunities to accelerate growth, improve unit economics, and increase operational efficiency.
• Turn complex data, customer insights, and market research into recommendations and implement them.
• Build and scale processes, tools, and workflows, using AI and automation where they create meaningful value.
• Define and track success metrics, identify issues early, and drive improvements across the business.
• Work with product, engineering, operations, finance, compliance, founders, and external banks, processors, and strategic partners.

Requirements

• Previous experience thriving in a demanding environment such as MBB, a high-growth startup, or a business operating at significant scale.
• Strong analytical skills, including structuring ambiguous problems, working confidently with data, and connecting analysis to business decisions.
• Demonstrated ownership of outcomes and ability to follow through from recommendation to implementation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate complexity into clarity for frontline teams and executives.
• Bias to action and comfort with ambiguity, including the ability to find answers and iterate quickly.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities without losing momentum.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, payments, or a highly regulated consumer business.
• Experience at a high-growth startup from early stage through scale stage.
• Experience launching or scaling businesses in Latin America.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience using AI or automation to improve business processes.
• Spanish or Portuguese language skills.
