Product-Oriented Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid

Salary: $255,000–$445,000 annual base pay, plus equity and performance-related bonus(es) for eligible employees.

What you will do

• Build and scale infrastructure for agent-controlled browsers and cloud computers.
• Develop services for provisioning environments, managing sessions, and coordinating environment lifecycles.
• Improve fleet reliability, performance, resource utilization, and observability.
• Diagnose issues across Linux, containers, networking, and browser execution.
• Build APIs and tooling for research and product teams, and partner with research and engineering teams to bring computer-use capabilities into production.
• Develop authentication, credential management, and network access controls that protect user data and support interactions with websites and services.

Requirements

• Experience leading large-scale backend, platform, or infrastructure projects from ambiguous problem statements through production systems.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Python, Go, Rust, TypeScript, or a similar language, with the ability to work across service, platform, and product boundaries.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud platforms, and production reliability.
• Ability to own systems from initial design through deployment and scaling.
• Comfort working at a fast-moving pace while maintaining security and operational excellence.

Nice to have

• Experience with browser automation, remote computing environments, or infrastructure for AI agents.
