Infrastructure and Resort Development Project Director

Location: Bedford, United Kingdom; regular travel across the UK and occasional international travel may be required.

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary teams through the planning, design, construction, and commissioning of infrastructure and resort development projects.
• Direct delivery of public roadways, bridges, rail-related development, site logistics, and third-party development works across the resort complex.
• Manage project strategy, scope, schedules, budgets, procurement, commercial matters, design integration, construction execution, and commissioning.
• Coordinate Universal Creative, Finance, Operations, Procurement, Legal, External Affairs, Security, EHS, consultants, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain control of safety, quality, schedule, budget, field operations, document control, project reporting, risks, claims, disputes, change orders, and interface disruptions.
• Lead and develop direct reports and high-performing internal, consultant, and contractor teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications in Engineering, Construction, Management, or a related field.
• Experience in construction project management, project management, engineering, construction, or the commercial facilities industry.
• Experience delivering infrastructure construction projects through design and construction phases.
• Experience with project scheduling, estimating, bidding, negotiations, critical path management, site logistics, constructability reviews, and project management across all phases.
• Strong knowledge of construction project delivery methods for enabling infrastructure, including roadways, rail development, and roadway structures.
• Experience working with third-party developers and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
• Experience with bespoke contracts, development agreements, contract administration, project finances, budgets, cash flow, cost control, and change orders.
• Ability to interpret design and construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Effective leadership, communication, and coordination across stakeholders, vendors, consultants, and contractors, with a hands-on approach to field operations and document control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Planner, Power BI, Teams, and Power Apps, plus Bluebeam or equivalent PDF software.

Nice to have

• AutoCAD and Revit experience.
• SIA licensing and/or relevant executive security certifications.
