Engineer Product Development - Optics

Location: Gagnef, Sweden; office-based with at least 80% on site. Up to 10% domestic and/or international travel may be required.

What you will do

• Participate in developing automatic welding filters for future products.
• Optimize the optical and electro-optical properties of automatic welding filters and their components through simulations and practical trials.
• Monitor advancements in LCD optics and optical interference coatings.
• Contribute to initiatives that improve manufacturing processes for automatic welding filters.
• Develop test methods for evaluating the optical and electro-optical properties of automatic welding filters.
• Work across cultures and collaborate with cross-functional teams while driving projects to completion.

Requirements

• University-level engineering education, preferably with a focus on physics or chemistry.
• In-depth knowledge of wave theory and/or optics.
• Ability to solve problems in a logical, methodical, and time-efficient manner.
• Ability to drive projects to completion.
• Self-driven approach, a can-do attitude, and willingness to drive improvements and change.
• Ability to work effectively across cultures and in cross-functional teams.
• Fluency in English.

Nice to have

• Previous work experience in optics, preferably LCD optics or thin-film optics.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
