Senior Accounting Manager (Molecular Diagnostics)

Location: Menlo Park, California, United States; onsite role.

Base pay: $171,495–$203,651 per year. Total compensation package: $314,198 per year.

What you will do

• Manage month-end and quarter-end close through FloQast, including journal entry controls, reconciliations, sign-offs, and close checklist completion.
• Own the accuracy and integrity of the NetSuite general ledger, reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and posting or configuration issues.
• Serve as a named owner and reviewer for SOX 404(b) controls, maintaining control narratives, validating IPE completeness and accuracy, and remediating deficiencies.
• Act as the day-to-day contact for Big 4 external auditors and consulting advisors during PBC requests, walkthroughs, sample pulls, and fieldwork.
• Own monthly management reporting, functional-area flux analysis, cost-per-test analytics for prenatal and oncology products, and CFO-level summaries.
• Lead and develop GL and AP accountants across general ledger, fixed assets, accounts payable, and payroll while improving close, accounting, and procure-to-pay processes.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years managing the close process and leading direct reports.
• CPA qualification and deep US GAAP fluency.
• Hands-on SOX 404(b) experience as a control owner, including control narratives outside accounting and reporting, IPE requirements, and deficiency remediation.
• Strong NetSuite experience, including the ability to query the system directly using saved searches and ideally SuiteQL.
• Advanced Excel and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience in life sciences, diagnostics, or another high-growth regulated industry.
• Big 4 or national audit firm experience.
• Experience with FloQast, Expensify, and Workiva.
