Applications Engineer (Semiconductor Metrology)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; onsite role with up to 10% travel for training and cross-site support. Candidates must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under United States export regulations.

Salary: $79,500–$116,600 annual base salary.

What you will do

• Support customer transitions to new technology nodes and ramp specific technology nodes, participating in or leading projects.
• Define customer requirements for existing and evaluation products based on technical knowledge of the Samsung account.
• Translate on-product issues into lithography or metrology problem statements and resolve them to maximize hirify.global product performance.
• Analyze experimental and Yieldstar metrology data to identify issues, validate conclusions, and assess impacts on product performance.
• Identify applications product opportunities and optimize tool setup, process-control strategies, metrology mark selection and design, and product options.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and prepare technical presentations for customer meetings.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in a technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• At least 4 years of experience in the semiconductor or manufacturing industry.
• At least 3 years of experience using MATLAB, Python, JMP, or similar software.
• At least 5 years of experience in data analysis and analyzing technical data to summarize and present findings.
• Extensive stakeholder and change-management experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, leadership, interpersonal, critical-thinking, problem-solving, prioritization, follow-up, and project-management skills.
• Ability to learn quickly, work with minimal supervision, perform to a high standard, and operate effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
