Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada; hybrid work from the Vancouver office, with onsite attendance required Tuesday through Thursday each week and additional onsite attendance as needed.

Starting base salary: $124,000–$150,000 CAD.

What you will do

• Design and ship end-to-end full-stack features across React frontends, backend services, APIs, and data.
• Build scalable money-movement flows with idempotency, observability, accurate ledgering, reconciliation, and compliance gating.
• Use AI-assisted and spec-driven development while owning architecture, correctness, security, reliability, and quality.
• Develop product and technical roadmaps, break complex work into parallel workstreams, and make tradeoffs across priorities and user experience.
• Mentor engineers through code, design, architecture reviews, interviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Analytics, Compliance, Infrastructure, and Operations.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
• Full-stack engineering experience with React, TypeScript, and Go.
• Experience designing secure, scalable, and performant software on cloud infrastructure such as AWS.
• Experience leading engineers on large features with Product Management and other stakeholders, including breaking work into workstreams, estimating timelines, and coaching through reviews and retrospectives.
• Comfort with or strong enthusiasm for AI-assisted development tools.
• Clear, objective written and in-person communication, including explaining technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
