Staff Technical Program Manager (Healthcare)

Location: Remote in the United States or Ontario, Canada, including Toronto.

What you will do

• Own and drive complex, cross-functional technical initiatives tied to company OKRs and strategic priorities.
• Translate business requirements into structured technical programs and actionable requirements for engineering teams.
• Make prioritization and scope, timeline, and impact tradeoff decisions with Engineering and business leaders.
• Run Agile ceremonies, coordinate delivery across multiple engineering teams, and manage cross-team planning and dependencies.
• Identify risks, remove blockers, and improve team efficiency, velocity, communication, and predictability.
• Prepare executive summaries, engineering delivery views, business updates, and leadership presentations.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Technical Program Management or an equivalent strategic technical role.
• Deep working knowledge of Agile software development, including Scrum and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Strong technical fluency with systems architecture, APIs, integrations, and technical dependencies; engineering experience is not required.
• Experience translating complex systems into business-friendly language and driving programs tied to OKRs and measurable business outcomes.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior stakeholders and executives.
• Experience writing audience-specific status reports and program updates and defining delivery metrics such as velocity, predictability, cycle time, and health indicators.
• Strong prioritization, decision-making, autonomy, and cross-functional stakeholder influence.
• Hands-on experience using Jira and other project management tools to manage delivery at scale, structure backlogs, define epics and milestones, and create executive-ready reporting dashboards.

Nice to have

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe certification, such as SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Release Train Engineer, or SAFe Agilist.
• Experience in healthcare, health tech, virtual care, care delivery platforms, or healthcare operations.
• Experience with clinical, pharmacy, or technical integrations.
• Experience working in fast-growing or globally distributed teams.
