Staff Field Engineer, Federal (Quantum Security)

Location: College Park, Maryland, United States; hybrid or remote within the US. Travel: up to 20%. Candidates must meet US Person or applicable US export-control and government-contract requirements.

OTE: $250K. Compensation varies based on education, qualifications, experience, office location, market data, and internal equity.

What you will do

• Lead Federal customer discussions, workshops, technical demonstrations, and industry or government conference participation.
• Explain hirify.global's quantum security strategy and portfolio, including post-quantum cryptography and quantum key distribution.
• Map customer requirements to quantum security approaches and deliver proofs of concept with Application Engineering.
• Turn customer needs into technical proposals and sales assets covering quantum security and broader quantum products.
• Work with Sales, Marketing, Developer Relations, and Business Development to build the Federal opportunity pipeline and handle competitive objections.
• Share customer insights with Product Management and Engineering to shape products and expand hirify.global's Federal security presence.

Requirements

• 4+ years of field engineering experience helping customers solve complex problems through technology.
• 6+ years of experience working with Federal civilian, defense, or intelligence agencies, or Federal systems integrators.
• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or another STEM field.
• Background in cybersecurity, ideally network and cloud security.
• US Person status or applicable authorization required for access to export-controlled technology and government-contract work.

Nice to have

• Security clearance.
• Master's degree or PhD in a STEM field adjacent to quantum computing, security, or cryptography.
• Technical sales or another customer-facing technical experience, including leading technical events and public speaking.
• Broad architecture skills across a range of technologies.
