Senior Financial Analyst (Clean Energy)

What you will do

• Support annual budgeting, long-range planning, and monthly forecasting for the Service business unit.
• Maintain financial models covering revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and headcount, and explain variances against plans, forecasts, and actual results.
• Partner with Accounting and Service Operations on monthly close, accruals, expense reviews, and forecast updates.
• Prepare monthly business reviews and management reports covering performance, operational metrics, risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
• Analyze service contract and project profitability, including labor, spare parts, subcontractor, and warranty-related costs.
• Support pricing, contract proposals, renewals, cash flow and working capital planning, resource allocation, reporting tools, system integration, business cases, and financial controls.

Requirements

• At least eight years of experience in finance and accounting, including financial planning, forecasting, and business performance analysis.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Prior experience as a Senior Financial Analyst or in a comparable role supporting a business unit or operational function.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modeling capabilities.
• Experience with SQL or other tools for extracting and analyzing financial data.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and the relationship between operating performance and cash flow.
• Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems and planning tools such as Hyperion or Anaplan.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial results and recommendations to functional leaders.
• Ability to work across functions, manage competing priorities, and deliver accurate analysis within established deadlines.

Nice to have

• MBA, CPA, or CPF.
• Experience supporting a service, aftermarket, or customer support business, including contract or project profitability analysis.
• Understanding of capital expenditure and software capitalization when evaluating operational investments.
