Lead FullStack Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico

What you will do

• Lead backend architecture and API design with Python and Flask, including service-layer ownership, code reviews, and backend pattern guidance.
• Design and implement scalable REST and asynchronous APIs with clean service-to-data-access separation.
• Develop production-grade frontend features with React and TypeScript and ensure frontend-backend integration.
• Architect and manage GCP infrastructure using Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Secret Manager, IAM, logging, and monitoring.
• Design database solutions with Google Spanner, SQL, and BigQuery for relational data, analytics, and reporting.
• Own testing, CI/CD, security, technical delivery, architecture alignment, and mentoring across feature teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in full-stack development or related backend or frontend disciplines, with demonstrated technical leadership across multiple layers of the stack.
• Deep expertise in Python and strong proficiency with Flask or similar web frameworks for backend API development.
• Strong hands-on React and TypeScript experience building production-grade frontend features and collaborating on UI/UX delivery.
• Proven experience designing REST APIs and service-oriented architectures focused on scalability and maintainability.
• Solid understanding of SQL, database design, and data modeling.
• Practical GCP experience with Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, IAM, and monitoring.
• Experience with pytest, Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright or comparable end-to-end testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Docker, dependency management, secrets and configuration handling, and secure development workflows.
• Ability to act as a technical lead, mentor engineers, own architectural decisions, and use AI-assisted development tools and workflows to improve code quality and productivity.
• Advanced English is required for effective communication with global teams.

Nice to have

• Google Spanner or other cloud-native database experience.
• BigQuery or data warehouse experience for analytics.
• Agent-based or MCP tool integration experience.
• Experience with asynchronous or event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code or Terraform.
