What you will do

• Develop and modernize cloud-based payroll applications from solution design and feature development through deployment, optimization, and maintenance.
• Build and evolve service-oriented and microservices-based architecture following the .NET Core migration.
• Debug application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
• Review code, investigate functionality, maintain technical standards, and improve application quality.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering leads in an agile environment.
• Maintain technical documentation, tests, and support materials, and provide training for support teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional backend development experience with C# and .NET Core or .NET 6+.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and services with ASP.NET Core or other .NET languages.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, especially SQL Server, and experience with ORM frameworks such as NHibernate, Entity Framework, or Dapper.
• Experience with unit testing, dependency injection, and IoC frameworks.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture, messaging systems, Docker, and modern CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment and communicate clearly through documentation and peer reviews.

Nice to have

• Experience in product-focused startups, scale-ups, or software product companies.
• Experience with AWS Cloud environments.
• Domain experience in payroll, fintech, e-commerce, or payment processing.
• Frontend experience with React, VueJS, Angular, or similar technologies.
