Inventory Lead (Manufacturing)

Location: Torrance, California, United States. Onsite role involving physical inventory, material handling, and access to restricted U.S. Government sites, systems, or information when applicable.

What you will do

• Lead daily inventory, receiving, shipping, storage, kitting, staging, replenishment, and material-handling activities.
• Assign work, set priorities, coordinate shift activities, provide status updates and handoffs, and escalate production risks.
• Maintain alignment between physical inventory and ERP quantities, statuses, locations, and transactions.
• Own cycle counting, physical inventory audits, variance investigations, reconciliations, corrective actions, and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and other stakeholders to resolve shortages, variances, and material constraints.
• Train and support inventory and material-handling personnel, improve standard work and metrics, optimize storage and material flow, and promote 5S practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or vocational school diploma.
• 3+ years of experience in Material Management, Inventory Control, Manufacturing Operations, Warehouse Operations, or a related field.
• Prior experience providing day-to-day direction, training, coordination, or informal leadership to inventory, warehouse, or materials personnel.
• Experience working in an ERP system within a manufacturing environment, including inventory transactions, cycle counting, physical audits, inventory reconciliation, and material kitting.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; advanced Excel skills for analyzing, reconciling, and communicating inventory data.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Self-motivated and hands-on, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work independently, establish priorities, and escalate issues appropriately.
• Ability to lift, carry, handle, and transport materials up to 50 lbs. unassisted as required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance. Access to classified information or restricted U.S. Government sites, systems, or information may also require citizenship or other eligibility requirements under applicable law, regulation, executive order, or government contract requirements.
• Ability to access applicable export-controlled information without additional export licensing being required by the Bureau of Industry and Security or the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
