Software Development Engineer in Test Intern - Undergraduate (AI)

What you will do

• Explore and prototype AI-assisted quality engineering workflows for test planning, pull request review guidance, failure triage, automation debugging, and release reporting.
• Use AI tools to summarize continuous integration failures, identify flaky test patterns, recommend testing areas, and improve quality signal visibility.
• Contribute to tools and experiments that use AI to reduce manual quality engineering work and improve engineering productivity.
• Evaluate AI support for automation stability, bug triage, test case recommendations, quality dashboards, test coverage analysis, and failure classification.
• Collaborate with quality engineering, development, product management, and release teams on functional and regression testing, test automation, and release readiness.
• Apply AI-assisted tools to real-world software testing challenges while maintaining human review and quality judgment.

Requirements

• Interest in AI-assisted software testing, developer productivity, automation triage, or quality intelligence.
• Curiosity and willingness to experiment with AI tools and apply them responsibly to quality engineering workflows.
• Ability to think critically about where AI can improve productivity while maintaining human review and quality judgment.
• Expected graduation between May 2026 and December 2029 from an accredited university; undergraduate students are eligible.
• Availability for the entire 12-week internship period during either May 17–August 6 or June 14–September 3.
• Authorization to work for any employer in the United States without requiring work visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Exposure to AI/ML concepts, prompt engineering, LLM-based tools, or AI-assisted developer workflows.
• Experience building scripts, bots, dashboards, or tools that summarize data or improve engineering productivity.
• Interest in using AI to improve test coverage analysis, failure classification, test recommendations, or release readiness reporting.
