Assistant/Associate Clinical-Track Professor (MS Speech Language Pathology)

Location: Fort Worth, Texas; onsite at Tarleton’s Fort Worth campus. The position may include teaching at other campus locations or through approved instructional modalities based on operational needs. Work hours are generally Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, or as teaching and work requirements indicate.

What you will do

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, seminars, and laboratory instruction for undergraduate and graduate students.
• Develop course syllabi, select instructional materials, and design exams, quizzes, papers, and other assessments.
• Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and evaluate learning outcomes to improve teaching and curriculum.
• Engage students through active learning, critical thinking, discussion, collaboration, hands-on learning, and innovative instructional technologies.
• Provide academic support, office hours, mentoring, and guidance to undergraduate and graduate students.
• Participate in course coordination, program development, institutional committees, recruitment, and mentoring of new and part-time faculty.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or another doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a closely related discipline from an accredited university.
• MS in Speech and Language Pathology, ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP), and eligibility for Texas state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of disciplinary subject matter sufficient for graduate-level instruction.
• Written and oral communication skills sufficient to conduct effective teaching and research activities.
• Ability to interact professionally, collegially, and collaboratively with students, staff, and faculty.

Nice to have

• Three years of clinical experience as a speech-language pathologist, including work with adult populations.
• Previous teaching experience in higher education.
