Construction Company Representative (Industrial Construction)

Location: Richmond, California, United States; local candidates only. Relocation will not be considered, and expatriate assignments are not available.

Salary: $120,300–$206,400 annually.

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day field leadership and serve as the primary company representative for contractors across maintenance, capital, and facility upgrade projects.
• Verify work readiness, constructability, permits, isolation plans, workforce, materials, and equipment before execution.
• Coordinate contractors with Operations, Engineering, Inspection, Planning, Scheduling, and Project Controls.
• Monitor safety, quality, schedule, manpower, productivity, cost performance, timesheets, service orders, and execution progress.
• Manage RFIs, construction changes, field issues, execution risks, mitigation plans, and project status reporting.
• Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, mechanical completion, turnover, closeout, planning, and execution strategy development.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of industrial construction, maintenance, turnaround, project execution, or related field experience in refinery, petrochemical, upstream, downstream, manufacturing, or similar industrial environments.
• Knowledge of construction execution, work planning, constructability reviews, contractor coordination, and safe work practices.
• Experience coordinating multiple work scopes, contractors, and stakeholders simultaneously in a field execution environment.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, work packages, and field execution documents.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Must be a local candidate; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable, and individuals with time-limited visa status will not be considered.

Nice to have

• 15 or more years of industrial construction, maintenance, turnaround, or project execution experience.
• Experience supporting brownfield construction projects in refinery, petrochemical, or energy industry facilities.
• Experience with piping, mechanical, structural, civil, and electrical construction scopes.
• Experience supporting commissioning, mechanical completion, turnover, PSSR, startup, and closeout activities.
• Experience using Maximo, scheduling tools, Office 365 applications, contractor management systems, and project reporting tools.
